    Review

Frankie knows everything there is to know about dinosaurs—or so she thinks! When she ignores the ‘don’t feed the fossils’ sign at the museum one day, Frankie finds herself being followed home by an unlikely specimen…a fossilised Diplodocus!

Frankie and her new Jurassic friend have all sorts of fun together: she learns that the dinosaur really likes cheese sandwiches, loves to play fetch, is very helpful when trying to reach high things, and is really very good at hide and seek!

Unfortunately, a palaeontologist from the museum comes to take the fossil back where it belongs, and Frankie is very upset. She knows that hew friend will be lonely and hungry there—no-one will make him cheese sandiwches or play fetch with him! But Frankie soon has a wonderful idea: she will give talks on dinosaurs at the museum! After all, she does know everything there is to know about dinosaurs.

With dynamic, detailed illustrations and a subtle sense of humour, this story is a lovely tribute to the importance of friendship and listening to others.

This is a perfect story for reading aloud, and the illustrations include lots of fun background details to be spotted by readers with keen eyes.
